The 2026 Summer Salon at Poimena Gallery brought together a diverse selection of contemporary artworks by Tasmanian artists, celebrating the breadth of creative practice across the state. The annual exhibition provided visitors with an opportunity to discover original works spanning a range of disciplines and artistic approaches.

For this exhibition, I presented Quiet Colonies (2025), a ceramic wall work that continues my ongoing exploration of the quiet, interconnected communities found within the natural world. Inspired by the growth patterns of fungi, lichens and mosses, the work reflects my interest in the overlooked organisms that sustain healthy ecosystems and the intricate relationships that exist between them.
