Christie Lange Ceramics — Cancellation & Refund Policy
1. Objectives and Background
Christie Lange Ceramics is committed to providing high-quality, small-group creative experiences in a timely and organised manner. Each workshop and course is carefully prepared in advance, with limited spaces available.
Unfortunately, when a booking is cancelled without adequate notice, it prevents others from attending and impacts the planning, materials ordering, and time already invested. This cancellation policy is designed to protect both our business and our valued clients, ensuring transparency around fees and expectations.
By being upfront about our cancellation and refund processes, we aim to foster a respectful, fair, and mutually rewarding relationship.
2. Cancellation Process
We understand that situations can arise where you may need to cancel or reschedule. Due to limited availability and advance planning requirements, we ask that you provide as much notice as possible.

If cancellation is made on short notice or no notice is given at all, your booking may be considered forfeited and may not be eligible for a refund (see Section 4 for details). We will always try to reschedule your session if timing allows, but this is not guaranteed.
2.1 Late Arrivals
Late arrivals can only be accommodated within the original appointment time. If you arrive more than 20 minutes late, the session may need to be cancelled, and the standard cancellation terms may apply.
3. Acceptable Circumstances for Waiving Fees
We understand that emergencies or external events can prevent attendance. In these situations, please contact us as soon as possible. Waivers of cancellation terms due to compassionate or exceptional circumstances are at the discretion of Christie Lange Ceramics.
4. Refund Policy
Courses & Multi-Week Workshops
Cancellations 21 + days before start date: Full refund, minus $50 admin fee per person.
Cancellations 14–20 days before start date: 50% refund.
Cancellations within 14 days: Non-refundable, unless your place can be filled.
Missed sessions after the course has started are non-refundable.
Custom Workshops (Private Bookings & Group Sessions)
Cancellations 14+ days before the workshop: Full refund, minus $50 admin fee per person.
Cancellations 7–13 days before the workshop: 50% refund.
Cancellations within 7 days: Non-refundable, unless your date can be rebooked.
Rescheduling is subject to availability.
One-Day & Kids Workshops
Cancellations 7+ days in advance: Full refund, minus $25 admin fee.
Cancellations within 7 days: Non-refundable.
Kids workshops are transferrable to another child, but non-refundable.
Please Note: Materials are purchased and shipped in advance — often from mainland Australia to Tasmania — and are factored into the refund structure above. Third-party payment processing fees (e.g. Stripe) are not refundable.

By proceeding with your booking through Christie Lange Ceramics (christielange.com.au), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the Cancellation & Refund Policy outlined above.
You understand that by reserving a place, you may forfeit part or all of your booking payment if a cancellation is made without the required notice.
