PELL▲ emerges from a process of refinement — a drawing inward. After years of working with clay in sculptural and vessel-based forms, the focus shifts to a more intimate scale, where the body becomes the site of encounter. These works are not observed at a distance, but worn, held close, and carried through daily life.
Working exclusively in porcelain, each piece is formed and refined by hand, then resolved through fire. The material holds a particular clarity — recording pressure, responding to touch, and revealing even the smallest decisions. At this scale, there is no excess. Only what is essential remains.
The FOUNDATION collection establishes this material language through geometric base forms — circles, ellipses, kites, hexagons — held in balance and proportion. Across their surfaces, subtle accumulations begin to emerge: lichen-like growths, raised details, quiet interruptions that reference living systems and the slow, incremental nature of growth.
These works hold a tension between geometry and emergence, between structure and life. They are not decorative, but responsive — shaped by observation, restraint, and material intelligence. Worn on the body, each piece moves beyond the studio, gathering its own quiet history over time.
