⨠Dedicated Guidance in an Intimate Setting
With only 3 participants per term, youāll benefit from one-on-one support and mentorship from a professional ceramic artist. This small group model ensures you receive the attention and care your work deserves.
⨠3-Hour Studio Sessions
Each weekly session includes 3 hours of uninterrupted making time in our purpose-built studio, equipped to support a wide range of ceramic practicesāfrom functional ware to sculptural forms.
⨠Decorating & Glazing Skills
Weāll cover techniques such as underglazing, carving, and texturing, as well as glaze application strategies. You'll finish the term with new knowledge, confidence, and refined skills.
šØ Tools & Materials Provided
Includes one bag of white clay, full access to studio equipment, and a generous, well-resourced space to create.
š½ļø BYO Dinner + Hot Drinks Provided
Bring your dinner along and settle in with complimentary tea, coffee, or hot chocolate for a relaxed, creative evening.

Christie Lange - Ceramic Artist and Workshop Facilitator
Welcome! Iām Christie Lange, a ceramic artist inspired by nature, exploring ecology and human relationships to living things through the lens of regeneration and renewal. I hold a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts - Visual Arts with First Class Honours from the University of Tasmania, graduating in 2020. Entering my 10th year of experience in creating intricate ceramic pieces, I specialize in translating the delicate beauty of natureālichens, mosses, and fungiāinto captivating art. I have participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions and been a finalist in several art prizes, including the 2020 Womenās Art Prize Tasmania and the 2024 Bay of Fires Art Prize. In 2019, I was awarded the Art Farm Birch's Bay Small Sculpture Acquisitive Prize and won the Boxed-In Sculpture Prize People's Choice Award in 2021. My work aims to evoke a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world.
I believe that everyone has the potential to create, regardless of experience. In my workshops, I foster a warm and encouraging atmosphere where you can explore your creativity and learn new skills. Whether youāre a beginner or an experienced maker, Iām here to guide you through every step of the process, ensuring you leave with not just beautiful creations but also a sense of accomplishment.
