Where are you located?
We are in Binalong Bay, overlooking Grant’s Lagoon. East Coast , Tasmania.
What can I make?
Christie will supply all the materials and tools to teach you to hand build functional or sculptural objects with clay, according to your preference. And if you’ve ever wanted to try, your party can take turns on the pottery wheel with Christie’s instruction. No prior experience necessary.
What happens to my ceramics after our session?
Christie will store them to dry over a minimum of 2 weeks to ensure they dry well. Then they will be bisque fired to 1000c. After this they will be glazed and cleaned up for their final firing. Once completed, Christie will carefully package your wares and send them to your one designated postal address. You can expect your ceramics to arrive within 6-8 weeks.
What do I wear?
Casual clothes that you feel comfortable in, knowing you may get a little clay mud on you. Chef style aprons are supplied for a layer of protection.
What’s on the menu?
Christie and her partner Stuart have explored the East Coast wineries, fromagerie’s and delicatessens to curate a Tasmanian and East Coast Local food & wine experience for you. Choose from a selection of Gala Estate Vineyard wines, Sparkling, Rose, Chardonnay or Pinot. Your gourmet platter may include home grown, brined and marinated Olives, home baked savory biscotti and homemade pate. Please indicate in your booking form if you have dietary requirements.
What does the VIP experience package cost?
The VIP package is a set price of $995.00 for up to 4 people. If you have a group of more than 4 people simply book a second package to increase your group size up to 8 people maximum.
